Welcome to the Irish Doula Directory – the most comprehensive Doula Directory for Ireland
This directory lists doulas who are currently known to work in Ireland, offering support to mothers and families during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Doulas are listed by province.
It is a place for women and their families to access a comprehensive list of doulas from all trainings across Ireland and also a place to enable doulas from various backgrounds to connect with other doulas in Ireland.
The directory lists doulas that have been trained through a wide variety of courses and CPD; its up to you to find the doula that best suits your needs and the needs of your family. We suggest that you arrange to meet or talk through your needs with a doula before hiring her.
Some doulas specialise in supporting the mother only during the birth, others just during pregnancy and others just during the postpartum period. Some doulas offer much more than basic emotional support, for example some offer homeopathy, reflexology, aromatherapy or acupressure. Other doulas offer specific pain coping techniques such as visualisation techniques, hypnotherapy or antenatal services. Check what each doula in your area offers, how much they are charging and then make your decision.
All doulas should provide you with a contract that details their services. You should be happy with the contract before you sign it.
