What does a doula cost? Well the  cost of a doula will vary from doula to doula and their costs are not regularised in any way. However, having said that most birth doulas charge between about €700 and €1,000 for a basic service. Services such as massage sessions, placenta encapsulation and homoeopathic consultations  during pregnancy or in the postpartum period may cost extra.

Doulas who are still in training or who are just starting out on their doula career usually need to attend a certain number of births for full certification, or before they feel comfortable in making a full charge. You may find that these doulas are willing to attend you for less than the normal fee.
