Types of doulas
How many types of doulas are there? This directory primarily lists doulas who offer Birth Doula Services or Postpartum Doula services. Birth doulas as their name suggests focus on the birth. However, some doulas also offer postpartum doula services to their clients to help them acclimatise to motherhood. THese services include support with breastfeeding, emotional support, physical support with being at home with a new baby such as light cleaning and shopping.
Other types of doula include doulas to support you with miscarriage or still birth.
